Campbell's collection Popular Tales of the West Highlands (though some take place in Ireland). -The False Prince & the True is from Teofilo Braga's collection Contos Tradicionaes do Povo Portuguez. -The Rich Brother & the Poor Brother is 'from the Portuguese' -A Fish Story is from an Australian tale collected by R.H. Mathews & published in the journal Folk-Lore, Vol. XIX (1908). -The Wonderful Tune is from T. Crofton Croker's collection Fairy Tales & Traditions of the South of Ireland. -3 tales are from Lady Guest's translation of The Mabingion . -The Brown Bear of Norway & The Three Crowns are wrongly attributed to Campbell's Popular Tales. They are actually from Patrick Kennedy's collection Legendary Fictions of the Irish Celts. -The Bones of Djulung is wrongly attributed to A.F. Mackenzie. It is a tale from the Macassar tribe of Celebes (Sulawesi), Indonesia translated by A.F. Chamberlain & published in the article A Macassar Cinderella in the journal Folk-Lore Vol.XIX(1908).
