    • Revised edition? This edition is listed as "rev vt of the above" in the series bibliography at SFE, rather than merely "vt": not only a variant title but a revised work. That is plausible but library records do not report it, and do report matching 1963 and 1967 page counts 157.
    • British Library (BL, below) gives title "[The Drought.] Dry spell." and notes "[A reissue.]", evidently in reference to the 1963 New English Library edition. In the database the latter is Four Square Books #918 (see).
    • Price from front cover, which displays also the Four Square logo and "Four Square Crime", a publication series probably.
