Notes: "Introduzione" is an original Italian essay. Il villaggio incantato is an original Italian novel based on van Vogt's story "Enchanted Village". The introduction claims that the novel is Renato Pestriniero's translation of a van Vogt novel called Enchanted Village, but no such novel ever appeared in English. The expansion of the original story to novel length was authorized by van Vogt. An English version of the novel was written by Pestriniero for internal use, but it was never revised by a native English speaker.
