Note: Washington Irving wrote the original serial collection, The Sketch Book of Geoffrey Crayon, Gent., while living in England 1815 to 1819. Volume V contained the 5-story series now called Old Christmas, featuring Christmas celebrations experienced by Crayon on a visit to Bracebridge Hall.
