Note: In the January 1944 issue of Thrilling Wonder Stories (page 75, "Meet the Author"), Ruth wrote that Theodore Roosevelt was president when she was born (he was in office from Sept. 14, 1901 to March 4, 1909). In the same autobiographical essay she wrote she was married and had a stepson who was in the US army and stationed in Alaska.
