That is perhaps from The Adventures of Hajji Baba of Ispahan (1824) --or from The Adventures ... in England (1828) or The Adventures ... in Turkey, Persia and Russia.
Those first two titles and dates are from the Morier biography at Wikipedia. Probably there were two volumes; the first volume has been issued under the third title; and both have been issued together under the first title.
