Welcome!

Hello, Michael Cassutt, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!--Dirk P Broer 15:59, 2 August 2018 (EDT)

We Have Capture: Tom Stafford and the Space Race

Hi, I approved your submission, but have made two changes. I changed the ISBN from 1588340788 (bad checksum) to 1588340708 (as with the amazon record). The second change I made -both on title and publication level- was to change the author name from 'Thomas P. Stafford with Michael Cassutt' (that's two authors in one author name field) into two separate authors.--Dirk P Broer 16:09, 2 August 2018 (EDT)

Hi Michael, and welcome here. Since this is an autobiography about an astronaut and therefore neither a work of speculative fiction nor about speculative fiction I changed it to "non-genre". The result is here here. Jens Hitspacebar 04:50, 3 August 2018 (EDT)

UPDATE
In looking at my page, I see that WE HAVE CAPTURE has an entry that is separated from a similar title, non-genre, called DEKE! Why is that?
Also wanting to add the third edition of WHO'S WHO IN SPACE: THE INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION EDITION (Macmillan Reference, 1999) and my latest non-genre book, THE ASTRONAUT MAKER (Chicago Review Press, 2018).
MC —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Michael_Cassutt (talkcontribs) .
As for Deke!: That probably happened because the one who entered the data or moderated the submission wasn't aware that it's non-genre, or simply made a mistake. If it's non-genre it should be changed (which I just did).
If your "Who's Who in Space" works are also non-genre they should also be changed: click on the title's link, then "Edit Title Data" on the left, and check the "Non-Genre" box in the edit form. Jens Hitspacebar 16:14, 8 August 2018 (EDT)
