I'm Phil and I live in the Finger Lakes region of NY State. I'm a retired UNIX systems administrator, enterprise storage manager, and IT disaster recovery planner. I'm also an active member of the Society for Creative Anachronism.
I've been a voracious reader my whole life. I mostly read SF/F though I do stray into other genres such as naval Napoleonic War fiction.
I have been collecting SF/F since the early 1970s when you could still buy new copies at list price from publisher backstocks. At this point I own somewhere over 5,500 physical SF/F books and 1000 SF/F ebooks. I only rarely purchase physical books these days having switched almost exclusively to ebooks.
