Welcome!

Hello, Dumarest, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Hauck 17:27, 8 March 2017 (UTC)

Wrought Gothic

Hello, I've approved your submission but had to make the following changes to conform to our standards:

  • As per this site, the book is in fact a COLLLECTION and not a CHAPBOOK (which is a one-story collection). This means that you'll have to enter its content (via the "Edit This Pub" link at publication's page.
  • I've added the decimals to the price.
  • As we're not allowed to deeplink to the specified website, I've uploaded a scan into our system (the procedure is given in the Help pages referenced above).

The result is here. Thanks for contributing and remember to add the contents. Hauck 17:40, 8 March 2017 (UTC)

Aftermath

Same remark about cover image for this submission. As this book seems to contain only one fiction text, I've kept the CHAPBOOK type but add the requisite SHORTSTORY content. The result is here. You can also any relevant information in the note field (e.g. the printing rank or the number of copies printed). Hauck 17:45, 8 March 2017 (UTC)

Turning Point & A Metal Box Floating Between Stars and Other Stories

Hello, I've rejected both of your submissions. The main reason is that these books are not yet published. The Lackey is scheduled for April 15th (and not for the 2018-03-27 date that you gave) and the Swainston for May 19th. Note also that the data is quite lacunary (no format, no currency, mispelled publisher in one case) and may even be false as the unheard-of ISBNs that do not match with ones used by the publisher (usually in the 978-0-9679429 range). Please take some time to check things before submitting data and wait for the books to be physically avaliable. Thanks. Hauck 13:00, 5 March 2018 (EST)
