Welcome!
Hello, Gipiquadro, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Help pages
- Field-by-field guide to entering new publications into the database
- Help:Getting Started
- What the ISFDB Wiki is for
- FAQ
- Wiki editing help - Tips on how to use the wiki-specific features when editing wiki pages.
- Wiki Conventions - How things are usually done on this wiki.
- Help:How to upload images to the ISFDB wiki
Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.
Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.
I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Stonecreek 12:44, 11 November 2017 (EST)
Your submissions
Thanks for contributing. I have put two of your submissions that are obviously for the same publication on hold. In one you credited Walter Catalano + Gian Filippo Pizzo (I presume that is you?), in the other just the first. Which one is correct. There's also no entry in the field format. Could you specify it (do it right here with your answer)? Thanks, Stonecreek 12:53, 11 November 2017 (EST)
- After some research I found the book at amazon.it and accepted one of your submissions (I rejected the others). I did some additions to meet the standards of ISFDB. Stonecreek 11:16, 15 November 2017 (EST)
Notturno alieno: 22 racconti fantanoir
Hello, I've approved your submission but had to make some changes to conform to our standards:
- simplified the title to Notturno alieno.
- added decimals to the price.
- uploaded a scan of the cover as we're not authorized to deeplink to the specified website.
The result is here. Note that the fact that you entered only your text and not the 21 others is considered as self-serving and is percieved as denoting less than good manners. So it would be nice for you to enter the other texts and any other relevant information about the book (e.g. its printing rank or its cover artist). Hauck 13:40, 26 March 2018 (EDT)
Hi,
I don't know if this is the way to replay, so I tray however. I asked the autors of single short storys to complete the data, I hope they do that. And, I don't know how upload the cover. Sorry for my English Gian Filippo
- It's the correct way to answer. Our rules here state that ALL fiction should be included (and of course by the person that entered the publication), so I'm afraid that it's up to you to enter all the texts and not only your own prose (the more so because you declare owniong a copy of the book which may facilitate things).
- For the cover, see the help pages linked to on the top of this page.
- For the english, no problem, I'm french and we are slowly becoming an international outift.Hauck 11:50, 27 March 2018 (EDT)
