The Realms of the Gods

Hi, you entered this title [1] with the date 0000-00-00, so I'm assuming it's a reprint. If you know what printing it is then that can be entered in the note section. Thanks for editing :-)Kraang 06:30, 16 Aug 2007 (CDT)

Now that the submission has been approved, the URL above is no longer accessible. I assume we are talking about this Publication, right? Ahasuerus 11:27, 16 Aug 2007 (CDT)
I've approved the update. I find it useful to add to the note section any information about the printings, even if it's just to state that it's the first. Thanks for editing:-)Kraang 22:43, 16 Aug 2007 (CDT)
Thanks for keeping me to the straight and narrow. I'm still getting used to the conventions of the database, so suggestions like this are greatly appreciated.--Md5i 22:51, 16 Aug 2007 (CDT)

The Wizard’s Castle

Just a quick FYI that I approved your addition of the 2000 edition of The Wizard’s Castle to The Prisoners of Bell Castle and then moved it from the parent Title record (The Prisoners of Bell Castle) to the variant Title record (i.e. The Wizard’s Castle). Adding a new Publication to the parent Title instead of to the Variant Title is a common thing for new editors to do, but we usually catch it at approval time and reassign it to the right Title :) Thanks for editing! Ahasuerus 17:58, 18 Aug 2007 (CDT)

Understood. Thanks for the info. --Md5i 21:44, 18 Aug 2007 (CDT)

Morgan Howell's Queen of the Orcs series

I think I may have messed up a bit when submitting these entries. Feel free to reject them, so I can resubmit a proper set of entries. Md5i 20:53, 1 Oct 2007 (CDT)

Second time around. Almost correct now. Accidentally changed Clan Daughter to Book 1 to Book 2. All my other edits should be fine, cumulatively.Md5i 19:37, 18 Oct 2007 (CDT)

This was nothing, you should have seen some really screwed up series a while back :-) Everything has been approved and the series looks fine now. Thanks for editing! Ahasuerus 20:32, 18 Oct 2007 (CDT)

Farthing by Jo Walton

Your verified copy of Farthing has a date of "2007-05-29" and a page count of 320. Mine, which is a first printing by the number line, has a note on the copyright page "First Mass market Edition: September 2007" and a page count of 319 if you exclude the promotional excerpt of Ha'penny (the next novel in the series) or 334 if you include the excerpt. The prices, ISBNs, and cover images are the same. While a 1-page difference hardly matters, perhaps the date does. Does your copy really list "2007-05-29" as a pub date, or is this perhaps leftover from an amazon pre-pub record? -DES Talk 21:19, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

Added a scan and changed contents and page number. Hauck 16:51, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

Krispos the Empeor-numerous adds

This. [2] . Numerous adds to your ver. Hope you come back soon. Thanks, Harry. --Dragoondelight 22:04, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

Krispos of VIdessos

I made several update to your verified pub KRISPVID1991 including the additon of coverart, the correction of the attributed cover artist, and the addition of a map credit for Shelly Shapiro. - Thanks Kevin 17:18, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

Bloodhound

Accidentally submitted two copies; the second without a price and with the cover artist is the correct one. Md5i 00:26, 2 December 2010 (UTC)

Source for data

If you have the book in hand, please consider doing a primary verification. Otherwise, record the source for your data in the record's note field. Thanks. Mhhutchins 00:01, 10 June 2011 (UTC)

I was going rather quickly through a re-inventorying of my books, and was only correcting "minor errors" that I noticed as things went along. Would that I had time to do a primary verification of everything. But I'll try to do ones of anything where I felt I needed to make a change. (All of my changes and entries are based on book-in-hand.) Md5i 00:38, 10 June 2011 (UTC)

Skye Sparkler

You note in this pub that Amazon gives the publisher as BookSurge, But checking this listing just now, I see they give Xlibris as the publisher, and the date as May 2001. Mhhutchins 00:05, 10 June 2011 (UTC)

Ah, that's what I get for looking up the name of the book in amazon rather than the ISBN. Your data is correct. Md5i 00:32, 10 June 2011 (UTC)
Submitted the changes based on above. Md5i 00:35, 10 June 2011 (UTC)

The Well of Ascension

I have approved your change to The Well of Ascension, but since the publication has been verified by you, shouldn't we remove the line that reads "Data from Locus1" from Notes? Or is some of the data not stated in the book, in which case we'll want to clarify what exactly comes from Locus? Thanks! Ahasuerus 05:58, 11 June 2011 (UTC)

I didn't know if the "Data from Locus1" had anything to do with the "OCLC 122715367" comment. If it definitely is not, feel free to remove. Md5i 06:07, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
Done, thanks! Ahasuerus 06:25, 11 June 2011 (UTC)

Printing statements

I rejected the submission to change the date of this pub from 2005-00-00 to 2002-10-00. The printing statement "First Starscape edition: October 2002" with number line "0 9 8 7 6 5 4" indicates that it is a fourth printing, so it doesn't have the same date of the first printing. I'm not really sure where the 2005 date comes from either, because ordinarily such later printings would be dated 0000-00-00, which indicates an unknown printing date. Thanks. Mhhutchins 15:05, 14 June 2011 (UTC)

Sorry. I had guessed that "First Starscape edition" referred to the first printing date. Especially as the book also had: "First Tor edition: March 1994" listed just above. Md5i 22:45, 14 June 2011 (UTC)

Ghost Ship

I added material to the notes of http://www.isfdb.org/cgi-bin/pl.cgi?354638 Ghost Ship by Lee and Miller. Bob 03:06, 19 February 2012 (UTC)

Krispos of Videssos

I added the LCCN to Krispos of Videssos. Bob 17:10, 14 April 2013 (UTC)

Farthing pubdate

Looking at a copy of Farthing, I see a date of September 2007. Locus1 also has Sep 2007. Is you verification copy different? DStandsh 18:23, 3 February 2015 (UTC)

This editor is no longer active. Update the record and then do a primary verification of it. Thanks. Mhhutchins 18:29, 3 February 2015 (UTC)

Additions to Notes For Daemons are Forever

I have made additions to the Notes on Daemons Are Forever. Added LCCN (from copyright page), cover artist credit from inside back cover flap, Canada price (from inside front cover flap), and archived publisher's site link.
